Hans Rempel (任漢昇)

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (創辦人與CEO)

As co-founder and CEO, Hans Rempel leads Exosite’s mission to provide Internet of Things capabilities to manufacturers of connected products. Prior to founding the company in 2009, Rempel worked with Silk Road Technical Development Corp., where he focused on international business development, primarily in the Asia Pacific region. Before that, he served in a variety of leadership roles at Logic PD, a product design and development firm, where he oversaw multiple project teams, launched regional offices, and led the creation, operations, and growth of a products business unit. Rempel graduated summa cum laude from LeTourneau University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

Mark Benson

Chief Technology Officer (技術長)

As CTO, Mark Benson navigates emerging Internet of Things developments and leads the company’s technology strategy to fuel its industry leadership and growth. Prior to joining Exosite in 2012, Benson was the director of software strategy at Logic PD, where he was responsible for leading software product development and setting the overall software strategy for the company. Over the course of his career, Benson has led highly creative and multi-disciplined teams in the development of advanced embedded product designs for industrial, medical, aerospace, military, and consumer industries. Additionally, he has authored the book, “The Art of Software Thermal Management for Embedded Systems,” as well as several technical papers and articles. He also regularly speaks at industry conferences. Benson holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Bethel University in Arden Hills, Minnesota, and a master’s degree in software engineering from the University of Minnesota.

Lizabeth Converse

Chief Operating Officer (營運長)

As COO, Lizabeth Converse is responsible for shaping Exosite’s corporate strategy, identifying growth opportunities, ensuring customer success, and overseeing daily operations. Converse is a highly respected technology executive and business advisor who has helped numerous technology companies develop strategic business initiatives that advance organizational missions and accelerate growth.
Prior to joining Exosite in 2016, Converse was a founder and managing partner of White Pine Consulting Group, where she worked with high-growth technology companies to accelerate their go-to-market and business-development strategies. Previously, Converse also held executive management positions at both Avaya Communications and Lucent Technologies. At Avaya, she was the general manager for service-provider solutions responsible for Avaya’s communication solutions. During her tenure at Lucent, Converse led strategy and marketing for the IP networking group.
Converse holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Steve VanderSanden

Vice President of Professional Services (專業服務團隊VP)

As Vice President of Professional Services, Steve VanderSanden develops strategy for the Professional Services team by defining goals and processes, and leads a team of engineers and developers that architect and develop IoT solutions for strategic customers.

Prior to joining Exosite in 2013, VanderSanden worked at Logic PD, where he started as a senior software engineer, assisting clients with embedded device and system development programs. During his time at Logic PD, he transitioned from engineer to project manager and eventually to team leader. He led efforts to transition early-stage customer programs into long-term, multi-million dollar contracts. VanderSanden began his professional career at Rosemount, Inc., Emerson Process Management Division as a project software engineer, coding signal processing algorithms and writing firmware for the company’s latest-generation pressure sensor.

VanderSanden is known for his extraordinary attention to client service. He has a master of science in electrical engineering from Northeastern University, and a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Marquette University. Steve lives in Chanhassen, MN with his wife and enjoys spending time outside of work with his two young children.

Tom Dever

Vice President of Business Development (業務開發VP)

As Vice President of Business Development, Tom Dever is responsible for growing long-term multidivisional relationships with enterprise customers and cultivating investment from strategic partners. He joined Exosite as the Director of Business Development in 2011 and has more than twenty years of experience managing sales and marketing efforts in the embedded computing, Internet of Things, and smart phone application industries. His technical experience includes programming pneumatic robots, designing PC motherboards, and developing connected embedded monitoring and control systems.

Prior to joining Exosite, Dever spent three years at Logic PD focused on selling system-on module components. Under his leadership, Logic PD shortened its product development times, thus accelerating customers into production. Dever also spent ten years at Intel, where he led the technical sales and marketing functions for several generations of mobile chipsets, including handheld computing and cellular processors.

Dever holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He currently lives in Austin, Texas, and loves to work on his golf game when not working.

Dave Gehring

CPA (inactive) • Controller (財務長)

As Controller, Dave Gehring leads Exosite in the development of key financial performance indicators and analysis, and evaluation of overhead and investment allocation to properly assess company strengths and weaknesses. With Exosite offices on three continents, Gehring has a keen understanding of world currencies and fluctuations in the market place. He is known for his integrity and knowledge in embedded products/systems connectivity, remote sensor data monitoring, device management, firmware updates, M2M applications, wireless communications, web applications/portals, distributed processing, and mobile applications.

Gehring previously held controller positions at Advanced Molding Technologies, Central Wood Products / Rivard Contracting, and C.H. Carpenter Lumber Company.

Gehring holds a bachelor of science in accounting from St. Cloud State University. He lives in New Brighton with his family and enjoys following sports, fitness, and reading.

Sam Webster (魏樂善)

President of Asia (亞洲區總裁)

As President of Asian operations, Sam Webster is responsible for driving Exosite’s operations forward, a talent that is clearly second nature given his experience. After earning a bachelor of science in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, he began his career as an investment banker in Hong Kong. Webster then moved on to Credit Lyonnais as head of Asian petrochemicals research and then to Credit Suisse First Boston as director of research. In 2000, he joined the ING Group as managing director and head of equities and was a member of the Regional Executive Committee overseeing nine countries. Rated by Institutional Investor, Greenwich, and Asiamoney as one of the top analysts in Asia, Webster brings a wealth of financial and institutional experience to Exosite. His laser focus on team building, process, and performance is an ideal complement to Exosite’s entrepreneurial energy and spirit.
